Eating disorders are rarely just about food. They're about control, safety, identity, and often a deep sense of not being enough. Recovery asks you to let go of the thing that has helped you cope. That takes tremendous bravery and support.
In our work together, I approach eating disorder recovery with gentleness and honesty. I won't rush you or push you faster than you're ready to go. But I also won't shy away from the hard conversations. We'll explore what the eating disorder has been protecting you from, and we'll work on building new ways to meet those underlying needs.
Somatic therapy is particularly powerful in this work because eating disorders are deeply connected to how you experience your body. Learning to listen to your body, rather than override it, is often a pivotal part of recovery. I work collaboratively with your treatment team, including nutritionists and medical providers, to make sure you're supported from every angle.
